KEEPING YOU SAFE
WHAT WE'RE DOING TO PROTECT YOU, OUR STAFF, & THE COMMUNITY
SEBASTIAN-ROSE recognises that many clients may be concerned, or have questions about how their safety - and the safety of others - may be managed whilst attending their appointment during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to protect our staff, our clients, and deliver safe and appropriate treatments, certain adjustments have been made to how our clinic will operate during this time. As a responsible medical aesthetics business, we will continue to abide by 'The Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (Wales) Regulations 2020 (as amended), follow the current evidence as issued by regulatory bodies, such as the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN), and abide by any other applicable local and national governmental guidance, legislation and regulations, international consensus, and the NHS to guide our clinical practice. We will continue to review our protocol on a regular basis, and adjust any practices as necessary to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
ELECTRONIC MEDICAL HISTORY & PRE-SCREENING
We will now be sending our medical history forms to you electronically, along with a pre-screening questionnaire. We ask that you complete these no earlier than 24 hours prior to your treatment. In order to complete these, you will be sent a secure online link in your booking reminder email.
This remote risk assessment helps protect you, our staff, other clients, and the local community, whilst assessing your suitability for treatment.
If, for whatever reason, you are unable to complete these forms online prior to your appointment, please call us on 0800 772 0137.
We have installed a 'Sanitation Station' for you to sanitise and disinfect your hands immediately upon entering, and before exiting, the clinic.
This helps to protect you and those around you.
FULL PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Our staff will be wearing full PPE which complies with government guidelines. This includes single use fluid-resistant surgical face masks (Type IIR) to protect against respiratory droplets, and full polycarbonate facial shields in addition to disposable (one time use) aprons and gloves.
You are welcome (indeed, encouraged!) to wear your own face masks to the clinic, but please do NOT enter the clinic wearing your own gloves. You must dispose of any gloves before entering the clinic.
Depending on the procedure, you may be asked to also wear a face mask or undertake other protective measures. If this is the case, these will be provided free of charge.
LIMITING THE AMOUNT OF CLIENTS
We will only be permitting 1 person into the clinic at any one time (with the exception of 2 members - maximum - belonging to the same household). Anyone else will be required to wait outside. Only 1 person, regardless of whether 2 people attend, will be admitted to the treatment room at any one time. The other person is able to wait in reception.
This is to protect you, our staff, other clients, and the local community by minimising the risk of possible transmission.
STRICT APPOINTMENT TIMES
To minimise the risk of possible transmission and observe strict cleaning schedules alongside limiting the number of people in the clinic, we are now observing and enforcing strict appointment times. Please do not arrive early - you will be asked to wait outside. If you arrive too late, we may have to reschedule your appointment. Late arrivals without prior notice and agreement may result in the loss of any deposit paid as per our T&C's.
This is to protect you, our staff, other clients, and the local community.
All magazines and leaflets have been removed from the waiting room. If you would like any information leaflets we are more than happy to provide you with these for you to take home. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer our usual beverages (a range of tea, herbal tea's, coffee's, biscuits and chocolates) at this time: please bring your own water bottle and take it home with you.
We also ask that you limit the amount of belongings you bring to a minimum (e.g, handbag and mobile phone). Any personal belongings you do bring into the clinic will be placed into a tray that is decontaminated in-between clients.
This is to remove and reduce any risk of cross-contamination between clients.
REGULAR, DEEP CLEANING
We have increased the frequency of our cleaning and decontamination of all surfaces in line with local & national protocols. All common surfaces are deep-cleaned and disinfected in-between clients and at regular intervals throughout the day, with products advised by Public Health England (PHE)
In order to further minimise the risk of infection, certain treatments & services will be unavailable at this time.
CHEMICAL PEELS - as this treatment necessitates the use of a fan (which can circulate any airborne particles) we will not be offering this treatment at this time.
GROUP BOOKINGS - to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission and adhere to the reduced number of people in the clinic, we will not be offering group bookings at this time.
Due to the increased viral-load of COVID-19 in mucous membranes and saliva, we will not be offering DENTAL BLOCKS at this time.
As much as we adore them, we cannot allow children in the clinic under any circumstances at this time. This is both for their protection, along with everyone else. If you attend the clinic with a child, we will be unable to treat you and this may result in loss of your deposit as per our T&C's.
If you have booked an appointment but then have any difficulty with childcare, please contact as soon as possible. If you let us know you are unable to attend with 48 hours notice, we can move your booking to a time and date to suit without any loss of your deposit.
