About this treatment

This treatment is suitable for atrophic scarring. Medical microneedling stimulates the induction and creation of collagen and elastin, therefore 'filling' the skin up from beneath the depressed, atrophic acne scars. This results in a permanent, smoother appearance to the skin and has been clinically proven to dramatically improve acne scarring. When used for treatment of acne scars, a 1.5mm device is used. WHAT MICRONEEDLING DEVICE DO YOU USE? We use 1NEED by Campomats (Italy), a medical grade electronic stamping pen. Derma rollers should NEVER be used on the skin. WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS? You can expect to start to see results within a few weeks, the amount of time it takes for new collagen to be created by your body. Final results are seen with in 1 to 3 months & the skin will continue to remodel for up to a year following treatment. HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED? This will vary from person to person, and depending on extent and severity of the acne scarring, but typically several sessions are needed. IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME? You may be a little pink or sensitive for a day.
