AM I SUITABLE FOR HAYFEVER BOTOX?

WHAT ABOUT KENALOG, THE HAYFEVER INJECTION?

Kenalog as a hayfever treatment was removed from the NHS several years ago due to the risk of serious side effects. It is not safe, is not licensed for hayfever treatment, and may cause serious long term damage. You will see clinics and medical professionals offering this treatment: We will not. We will not put your health at risk when there is a safer, more suitable alternative.

HOW LONG DO THE EFFECTS OF HAYFEVER BOTOX LAST?

Hayfever botox typically lasts around 2-4 months. Depending on severity of your symptoms, some patients may need retreating or a top up at around the 1 month mark. Typically, the treatment usually lasts around 8-12 weeks after the primary dose; however, this is fully dependent on the patients’ requirement for further symptom relief, and according to their allergens causing symptoms to reoccur.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

5 minutes.

IS THE PROCEDURE ITSELF PAINFUL?

Not at all. It is painless.

ARE THE RESULTS INSTANT?

No. Optimum results from Hayfever botox are seen at 14 - 21 days, although you may start to feel relief sooner than this. Some patients may require a top up at 3-4 weeks, depending on the level of relief obtained. The treatment can be titrated to you.

WHERE IS THE TREATMENT PERFORMED?

We provide Hayfever Botox in Cardiff.

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD - OR SHOULDN'T DO - PRIOR TO THE TREATMENT?

Use a saline or eucalyptus nasal spray 30-60 minutes before your appointment. This will help clear out any pollen particles and nasal fluid, ensuring your nasal passages are ready for the medication to be administered effectively.
