What helps dark circles under the eyes?

Dark circles can be thin skin, pigment or a shadow from a hollow. Where it's thin or dull skin, skin boosters such as Bright Eye (£199) and polynucleotides such as Lumi Eyes (from £149) improve skin quality. Where it's a hollow casting a shadow, tear trough filler works better.

Am I suitable for tear trough filler?

Tear trough filler suits hollowness and mild to moderate bags caused by volume loss. It isn't suitable if you have large fat pads under the eyes or your eyes are puffy in the mornings, because filler can make puffiness worse. In that case, polynucleotides, PRP or a skin booster are usually better.

 

What's the difference between polynucleotides and skin boosters for the eyes?

Skin boosters mainly hydrate and brighten the skin. Polynucleotides work on skin repair, helping thin, crepey skin become stronger and thicker over a course of treatments. Both improve dark circles and fine lines without adding volume.

 

Can you treat hooded eyelids without surgery?

Yes. Our non-surgical eyelid lift (£399) uses carefully placed filler to lift and open the upper eyelid area. Results are visible straight away and last an average of around six months. The amount of lift varies from person to person, and we'll give you an honest assessment at consultation.

 

How do you treat crow's feet?

Crow's feet are treated with anti-wrinkle injections, which relax the muscle that creases the skin when you smile. One area costs £150, two £180 and three £220. New patients need a face-to-face consultation at least 48 hours before treatment.

 

How many sessions will I need?

Filler is usually a single session. Polynucleotides and skin boosters work best as a course, typically two or three sessions a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance every six months or so. We'll set out a plan and the total cost before you start.

 

Is there any downtime?

Usually very little. You may have small bumps, redness or swelling for a day or two, and bruising is possible, especially after filler. Most people go straight back to their day.

 

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Under eye concerns have several different causes, so we assess yours face to face before recommending treatment. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, so for crow's feet or eyelid spasm, new patients need a consultation at least 48 hours beforehand.
