NEFERTITI LIFT

Botox for the jawline and neck, to soften neck bands and sharpen the lower face. £250, medically led in Cardiff city centre.

The Nefertiti Lift is an advanced Botox technique that redefines the jawline, smooths the neck and lifts the lower face, without surgery or downtime. Named after the Egyptian queen known for her sculpted jawline and long, elegant neck, it treats the area a standard anti-wrinkle treatmentdoesn't reach: the lower face and neck.

At Sebastian Rose Medical Aesthetics in Cardiff, it is performed by GMC or NMC-registered medical professionals with a detailed understanding of lower face anatomy, so the result looks lifted and natural rather than frozen.

HOW DOES A NEFERTITI NECK LIFT WORK?

As we age, the platysma muscle — a thin, sheet-like muscle running from the collarbone up the sides of the neck to the jawline — begins to pull downward on the lower face. This causes visible vertical neck bands, jowling, jawline laxity and loss of definition.

The Nefertiti Lift uses strategically placed Botox injections along the jawline and into the platysmal bands to relax this downward pull. The result is a visible lift and reshaping of the lower face and neck — without adding volume or altering your natural expressions.

WHAT DOES A NEFERTITI NECK LIFT TREAT?

What the Nefertiti Lift treats

The Nefertiti Lift is a muscle-relaxing treatment. It works by releasing the downward pull of the platysma muscle and is highly effective for visible platysmal bands and neck cords, sagging or undefined jawline caused by muscle laxity, early jowls where the underlying muscle is the primary cause, horizontal neck lines and tech neck, chin dimpling, downturned corners of the mouth, and loss of lower face definition and contour related to muscle activity.

What it won't do — and why this matters

The Nefertiti Lift works at the muscle layer. The neck has multiple layers of anatomy — muscle, fat, and skin — and in moderate to advanced neck ageing, all of these layers contribute to what you see in the mirror. A Nefertiti Lift alone will not significantly improve skin laxity, crepey or loose skin texture, or volume loss. If jowling is primarily caused by descending fat pads rather than muscle pull, the Nefertiti Lift may offer some improvement by addressing the underlying muscle, but it will not fully resolve the appearance of jowls on its own.

This is not a limitation — it's simply anatomy. Understanding which layer is driving your concern is what separates a good result from a great one.

Getting the most from your treatment

For clients with skin laxity, crepey texture or volume-related concerns alongside muscle laxity, combining the Nefertiti Lift with collagen-stimulating treatments such as Profhilo, Sculptra or polynucleotides, or with Micro-Tox for skin texture can significantly enhance and extend your results. Where jowling is driven by fat pad descent, treatments such as dermal filler or Sculptra to restore structure and camouflage volume loss can work beautifully alongside the Nefertiti Lift.

Your practitioner will assess all contributing factors at consultation and discuss a realistic, layered treatment plan tailored to your anatomy — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

NEFERTITI RESULTS

Results start to show within a few days, with the full result at around three weeks. They typically last three to six months, and most people repeat treatment three to four times a year to keep the result.

NEFERTITI FAQs

What is a Nefertiti Lift?

A Nefertiti Lift is a Botox technique for the lower face and neck. Small, precisely placed injections along the jawline and into the vertical neck bands relax the platysma muscle, which pulls the lower face downwards. The result is a sharper jawline, smoother neck and more lifted lower face, without surgery.

How much is a Nefertiti Lift in Cardiff?

The Nefertiti Lift costs £250 at Sebastian Rose in Cardiff. A £50 deposit secures your appointment and comes off the price. Book the Nefertiti Lift. New clients need a face-to-face consultation at least 48 hours before treatment.

How is the Nefertiti Lift different from standard anti-wrinkle injections?

Standard anti-wrinkle treatment targets the upper face: forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. The Nefertiti Lift treats the lower face and neck, where the muscle anatomy is more complex, so the injection pattern, depth and technique are different.

Am I suitable for a Nefertiti Lift?

It suits people with mild to moderate jawline softening, visible neck bands, early jowls where muscle pull is the main cause, horizontal neck lines, chin dimpling or downturned mouth corners. Good skin elasticity helps. Many people in their 30s and 40s see good results, and it can also be used early, before laxity develops. We assess your suitability at consultation.

Will it help my jowls?

It depends on what is causing them. If jowls are mainly caused by the platysma muscle pulling the lower face down, the Nefertiti Lift can make a clear difference. If they are caused by fat pads descending or volume loss, it may help a little but will not resolve them alone, and combining it with Sculptra or dermal filler works better. We will explain which applies to you at consultation.

Will it tighten loose or crepey skin on my neck?

No. The Nefertiti Lift works on the muscle, not the skin, so it will not tighten loose or crepey skin or improve texture. If skin laxity is part of your concern, combining it with Profhilo, Sculptra, polynucleotides or Micro-Tox gives better results.

How soon will I see results, and how long do they last?

Results start to show within a few days, with the full result at around three weeks. They typically last three to six months, depending on your muscle strength and metabolism. Most people repeat treatment three to four times a year.

Is there any downtime?

No. You can go straight back to normal activities. For 24 hours afterwards, avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, lying flat, and touching or massaging the treated area. The treatment itself takes around 15 minutes and discomfort is minimal.

Can I combine the Nefertiti Lift with other treatments?

Yes, and combining often gives the best result. It works well alongside Micro-Tox for neck skin texture, Profhilo or polynucleotides for hydration and collagen, Sculptra or dermal filler where volume loss contributes to jowls, and anti-wrinkle treatment in the upper face.

What are the risks?

Possible side effects include temporary redness, mild swelling, pinprick bruising and tenderness at the injection sites, which settle quickly. Rarely, there can be temporary asymmetry or temporary weakness in nearby muscles. We go through all the risks at your consultation and take a full medical history first.

Who is not suitable for a Nefertiti Lift?

You cannot have the Nefertiti Lift if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, taking certain antibiotics or anticoagulants, or have certain neuromuscular conditions, including myasthenia gravis and Lambert-Eaton syndrome.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, so new clients have a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber at least 48 hours before their first treatment. This makes sure the treatment is safe and suitable for you.
