What is HArmonyCa?
Most injectables do one thing. Hyaluronic acid fillers add volume immediately, but that volume fades. Collagen stimulators such as Sculptra build your own collagen slowly, but do nothing on the day.
HArmonyCa does both.
It combines hyaluronic acid, which lifts and hydrates straight away, with calcium hydroxyapatite, which prompts your skin to produce its own collagen over the following months. Allergan report that the lifting effect on the jawline and cheeks lasts up to 18 months, and that 91.6% of patients saw an improvement in their appearance.
Who is HArmonyCa suitable for?
It's designed for the lower face. It works best if you've noticed softening along the jawline, early jowls, loss of firmness through the cheeks, or lines running from the ear towards the mouth that show when you smile.
It isn't for lips, and it isn't for the neck or under-eyes. If those are your concern, polynucleotides or skin boosters are more likely to be the right answer, and we'll say so.
What happens during HArmonyCa treatment?
Your consultation comes first, and we'll assess whether HArmonyCa is genuinely the right product for your face. The treatment itself takes about 30 minutes. One syringe is usually placed each side, into the deeper layers where it can support the tissue above. It contains lidocaine, so it's comfortable.
Expect some redness and swelling for a day or two, and occasionally bruising. Most people go back to normal the same day.
We review you at three to four weeks, once the swelling has gone and the collagen response is beginning.
HArmonyCa results: what to expect, and how long they last
You'll see a lift immediately from the hyaluronic acid. From around the third month, the collagen effect builds, and that's what carries the result through the rest of the year. Some people choose a second treatment after the review; most don't need one.
How much does HArmonyCa cost in Cardiff?

HArmonyCa aftercare: what to do for the first week
For the first 24 hours, keep the area clean, skip make-up, and don't massage or press on it. Avoid the gym, saunas, steam rooms and hot yoga for two days, and alcohol on the day.
Sleep on your back for the first two nights if you can. Leave facials, peels and microneedling for two weeks.

Can HArmonyCa be dissolved?
The hyaluronic acid part can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if it's ever needed. The calcium hydroxyapatite part cannot. It breaks down naturally over time, but it can't be reversed on demand.
That's not a reason to avoid it. It's a reason to have it done by someone who assesses you properly first, places it correctly, and keeps hyaluronidase on site. All three are standard here.

HArmonyCa versus dermal filler: filler gives volume where it's placed and can be dissolved completely. HArmonyCa gives less immediate volume but keeps working through collagen stimulation.
