C-Tetra is Medik8's entry-level vitamin C serum, and one of the most tolerable vitamin C formulations available.

It uses tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate — a stable, oil-soluble form of vitamin C that penetrates the skin more readily than L-ascorbic acid and does not sting, oxidise or destabilise the way traditional vitamin C serums do.

The result is daily antioxidant protection and visible brightness, in a lightweight oil-based serum that suits sensitive skin and can be used long-term without irritation.

Will it sting?
No. Unlike L-ascorbic acid, this form of vitamin C is non-acidic and doesn't sting on
application.

Can I use it with retinal?
Yes. Vitamin C in the morning, vitamin A at night — Medik8's CSA approach.

Does it need refrigerating?
No. This form of vitamin C is stable and doesn't oxidise the way traditional serums do.

Can I use it in pregnancy?
Vitamin C is generally considered suitable. If in doubt, check with your midwife.
