Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ is Medik8 bringing polynucleotide science out of the treatment room and onto the shelf. If you've had polynucleotide injections with us, this is the product designed to work alongside them.

PDRN is the same class of ingredient we inject in clinic — DNA fragments that support the skin's own recovery and repair processes rather than forcing a change with an active. The obvious problem with putting it in a serum is that PDRN chains are large and unstable, so most topical versions sit on the surface and do very little. Medik8's answer is prismatic PDRN: the molecule folded into a stable, closed tetrahedral structure. They report twice the skin absorption and 60% deeper penetration than conventional PDRN.

Alongside it sits a triple exosome complex — up to 151 billion exosomes per bottle — plus GF MiniProtein and an ATP precursor. The three work on what Medik8 call Recover, Restore and Recharge: the PDRN supports repair and calms visible redness, the exosomes and MiniProtein support barrier resilience and skin architecture, and the ATP precursor supports the cellular energy those processes run on.

Worth being straight about, because we offer both.

Injectable polynucleotides are placed into the dermis by a prescriber. That's a medical procedure with a defined treatment course, and it works at a depth and concentration no topical product can reach. If you want the result polynucleotide injections give, you need the injections.

Topical PDRN is a different proposition. It supports the skin from the surface, daily, over months. It is not a substitute for the injectable treatment and we won't pretend otherwise.

Where it earns its place is between appointments and after them. Polynucleotide courses are typically three sessions spaced weeks apart, with maintenance after. What you do in the gaps matters, and this is the product designed for those gaps — Medik8 developed and tested it specifically as a post-procedure partner.

Is this the same as the polynucleotide injections you do in clinic?
No. Same class of ingredient, entirely different delivery and depth. This is a topical serum designed to work alongside professional treatment, not replace it.

Is the PDRN from salmon?
No. Some retailers have this wrong. Medik8's prismatic PDRN is vegan and the product is certified by the Vegan Society. If you avoid marine-derived ingredients or have a fish allergy, this is the PDRN serum for you.

Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C?
Yes, all of them. Apply this first, then your other serums. It's formulated to support rather than compete, and there's no ingredient conflict.

Will it irritate sensitive skin?
It's designed to do the opposite. Medik8 report improved barrier function at seven days, and the PDRN component specifically targets visible redness. It's fragrance-free and dermatologically tested. Patch test first regardless.

Can I use it straight after a treatment?
Follow the aftercare we give you at your appointment — that varies by treatment. Once you're cleared to use products again, this is the sensible first thing to go back to.

How long does a 30ml bottle last?
Around six to eight weeks at 1–2 pumps twice daily across face, neck and décolletage. Once daily if you want it to go further, though the clinical work was done on twice-daily use.

Is it safe in pregnancy?
There's no retinoid, acid or other contraindicated active in the formula. As with anything during pregnancy, check with your midwife or GP if you have any doubt.

Do I need it if I'm already using a full Medik8 routine?
