Medik8 H.E.O. Mask is a two-step overnight moisturising treatment. The name stands for humectants, emollients and occlusives, the three types of moisturising ingredient, which Medik8 combines in a specific ratio across the two steps to flood the skin with hydration and help support the skin barrier while you sleep.
Step 1 and Step 2 together contain multi-weight hyaluronic acid for layered hydration, natural moisturising factors (including sodium PCA, urea, amino acids and lactic acid) that help the skin bind water, ceramides and squalane to reinforce the barrier, and glycerin to hold moisture in. Medik8 reports 72 hours of skin hydration and barrier support, and in a study of 35 people over four weeks reported by Medik8, 94% showed an improvement in moisturisation levels and 94% agreed their skin looked glowing.
It suits all skin types, and is especially helpful for dry, dehydrated or tight-feeling skin, after travel, in cold weather, or when the skin feels depleted. Medik8 notes it is non-comedogenic. It replaces your night moisturiser on the evenings you use it, two to three times a week.
