Pore Cleanse Gel Intense is the strongest exfoliating cleanser Medik8 make — a four-acid gel built for skin where oiliness, congestion and enlarged-looking pores are the whole problem.

Mandelic and lactic acid exfoliate the surface, citric acid supports the process, and salicylic acid works inside the follicle where the blockage actually sits. Where Surface Radiance Cleanse is a daily all-rounder, this is a deliberate step up in strength: more exfoliation, more decongestion, and correspondingly less suitable for skin that's dry or reactive.

Glycerin keeps it from stripping, and clover flower and mangosteen extracts add antioxidant support, but make no mistake about what this is. If your skin is sensitive, this is the wrong cleanser.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Massage into damp skin, leave for 30 seconds, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Start three times a week and build up. Daily use suits genuinely oily skin; most people do better alternating with a milder cleanser.

Contains a high acid load, which increases sun sensitivity. SPF 30 or higher every morning is not optional with this one.

Not suitable for dry, sensitive or compromised skin.

Most people need two: an oil first, then a water-based second cleanse.
Will it make my pores smaller?
It will make them look smaller, which is the honest version. Pore size is largely genetic and can't be permanently changed, but most enlarged pores look that way because they're full. Clear the follicle and they appear tighter. Expect visible improvement, not a different pore structure.

Pore Cleanse Gel Intense or Surface Radiance Cleanse?
Surface Radiance is the daily all-rounder for most skin. This is stronger and more focused on oiliness and pore appearance. If Surface Radiance hasn't been enough, step up to this.

Can I use it with Press & Clear or Crystal Retinal?
Carefully. This is already a heavy acid load. Don't layer it with a leave-on acid on the same day when you're starting out, and keep it away from the nights you use retinal until your skin is well established on both.

My skin is oily but it stings. Should I persevere?
No. Stinging means it's too much. Drop to twice weekly, or switch to Clarifying Foam, which is gentler and better suited if breakouts rather than oiliness are the issue.
