As a BHA, salicylic acid is oil-soluble, so it penetrates into the pore lining to dissolve the build-up that causes blackheads and blemishes. Used daily, it helps keep pores clear and skin looking smoother and more even.

Wet face with warm water. Dispense a nickel-sized amount, lather, and gently massage over the entire face for 20–30 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Because salicylic acid can be drying, start with once daily, then build to twice daily if tolerated, or as directed by your skin care professional. If following with other CLENZIderm steps, wait 10–15 minutes to allow skin to dry fully first.
