Jowls develop as the midface loses volume and skin laxity increases, softening the clean line along the lower face and jaw. It's one of the earliest changes people notice — and one of the most treatable without surgery. Jowl filler doesn't fill the jowl itself. Injecting directly into a jowl adds weight and makes it heavier. The technique that works is structural: restoring support higher in the face where the volume was lost, then defining the jawline and the pre-jowl hollow beneath it. Done properly, the jowl softens because the tissue above it is supported again. Your treatment is carried out by Rachel Roberts, Independent Nurse Prescriber and Clinic Director, with a Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from Harley Academy, 24 years of healthcare experience and full ACE Group World emergency protocols in place. Premium hyaluronic acid filler is used throughout, selected for the firmer lifting capacity the jawline requires. Volume is agreed at consultation — most people need between 2ml and 4ml to achieve meaningful definition, and treating with too little is the most common reason people feel filler "didn't work" for them. WHAT TO EXPECT Results are visible immediately and continue to settle over two weeks. Expect mild swelling for 2-3 days and possible bruising along the jawline. Most people return to normal activity the same day. Results typically last 12-18 months, with the jawline holding well due to the firmer product used.
