Sculptra received EU MDR certification in December 2025 specifically expanding its clinical indication to include the gluteal area and posterior thighs — with cellulite improvement explicitly demonstrated in the supporting studies. This makes Sculptra the only injectable collagen biostimulator with a formally certified body indication that specifically includes cellulite. This is not an off-label application — it is a formally certified, peer-reviewed clinical indication. Sculptra works by stimulating your body's own collagen production through the gradual metabolism of poly-L-lactic acid microparticles injected into the subcutaneous tissue. New collagen builds progressively over three to six months — restoring the structural scaffolding beneath the skin that cellulite progressively destroys. Because the result is your own collagen, results look and feel completely natural and last two years or more. Protocol: Two to three sessions spaced six to eight weeks apart. Each session uses two to four vials depending on the area being treated. Results develop gradually over three to six months and continue improving for up to six months after the final session.
