The temples are one of the first areas to lose volume, and one of the least noticed. Most people see the change in their face without identifying where it's coming from — the upper face narrows, the outer brow sits lower, and the overall shape shifts from a soft oval towards something more angular. Restoring temple volume addresses the shape of the upper face rather than any single line or fold. WHAT IT DOES Premium hyaluronic acid filler is placed to replace lost volume in the temple hollow, softening the transition between the forehead and cheekbone and restoring fullness across the upper face. Because temple volume supports the tissue above and around it, treatment here can also give a subtle lift to the outer brow and the area beside the eye. That makes it a useful structural treatment alongside cheek filler or brow work, rather than a standalone fix. WHY THE TEMPLES MATTER Temple hollowing changes facial shape in a way that lines and wrinkles don't. It's often the reason someone feels they look tired or drawn without being able to say why — and it's also why treating the lower face alone sometimes doesn't give the result people expected. WHAT IT CANNOT DO Filler cannot lift heavy brows, tighten loose skin or replace the effect of surgical brow surgery. Any lift from temple filler is secondary and modest. If a significant brow lift is what you're after, we'll discuss the alternatives honestly rather than overselling this treatment. SAFETY The temple contains significant blood vessels and nerves, and it is an advanced injection site requiring precise depth and placement. Recognised risks include bruising, swelling, tenderness and — rarely — vascular complications. All are discussed fully at consultation. WHAT TO EXPECT Treatment takes around 20 minutes, with numbing cream applied first. Results are visible immediately and settle over two weeks. Expect mild swelling and tenderness for two to three days. Bruising is possible but less common here than around the eyes. Results typically last 12-18 months. Filler is temporary and maintained with repeat treatment.
