SuzanObagiMD Claribright Radiance Brightening Lotion is a hydroquinone-free brightening moisturiser designed to help improve the look of discolouration, dark spots and uneven tone while remaining gentle on the skin. SuzanObagiMD says it visibly improves skin brightness in four weeks, and that it works across several pathways: pigmentation, redness, oxidative stress, cell turnover and the skin barrier.
The brand's key ingredients are liposomal tranexamic acid, which it describes as helping to brighten discolouration and calm the look of redness; encapsulated phloretin, an antioxidant; liposomal oligopeptide-68, a brightening peptide; silymarin from milk thistle, an antioxidant that helps soothe; and hyaluronic acid for hydration. Niacinamide adds further support for an even-looking tone. In the brand's own consumer study, 90% of participants said their skin looked brighter after eight weeks.
It suits all skin types, including sensitive skin, and is a considered option for anyone who cannot tolerate hydroquinone or is cycling off it.
